Respect Yourself

If you disrespect anybody that you run in to
How in the world do you think anybody’s s’posed to respect you
If you don’t give a heck ’bout the man with the bible in his hand, y’all
Just get out the way, and let the gentleman do his thing
You the kind of gentleman that want everything your way, yeah
Take the sheet off your face, boy, it’s a brand new day

Respect yourself, respect yourself, respect yourself, respect yourself
If you don’t respect yourself
Ain’t nobody gonna give a good cahoot, na na na na
Respect yourself, respect yourself, respect yourself, respect yourself
— The Staples Singers

Sometimes you just “Wanna Cry,” but now is not one of them.  You have things to do on your PC, never waste a disaster to make sure you check yourself.

For those of your with a Microsoft Windows based personal computer, your own not the one from work, I have a tool that will help you “Respect Yourself.” For those of you with a Mac, this is not going to help you. For my elite brethern running Linux, you got this already.

Sad day it is Secunia is no more…My suggestion to you would be take a look at a tool from Flexera, called Secunia Personal Software Inspector. The tool is FREE, note the caps, bolding and color. Don’t miss this the tool is FREE!  Once downloaded, it installs easily and will scan you computer for over 70 common applications. Any applications found to be in need of an updates will be identified. Once identified, the tool facilitates getting them updated easily. Coupled with setting up Windows to automatically install updates, this provides one of the best methods to get your system updated.

New option is Belarc Advisor, while not as easy to use as Secunia is still a solid bet.

This is a simple and easy way to help “Respect Yourself.” Don’t wind up “Wanna Cry” about getting burned. As a point of information, I have no financial connection to Flexera, but do count them as an ally in keeping my Windows systems patched.
